Dr. Amir Agha is a rheumatologist with nearly 30 years of experience in patient care and infusion therapy. He earned his medical degree from Sindh Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He then went on to complete his Internship in Internal Medicine at SUNY Health Science Center in New York, followed by his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Rheumatology at Cooper University Healthcare in New Jersey. In his fellowship Dr Agha worked with the founder of Gout and PseudoGout who was the pioneer of the art of diagnosing crystal induced arthropathy.
Dr. Agha has published several publications in the journal of clinical rheumatology on MRI evolution of localised myositis, secondary to vasculitis. He has vast experience in infusion therapy and intra-articular injections with ultrasound. His medical interests are rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoporosis, and gout. He was awarded the Top Rheumatologist Award in 2019 for South Carolina.
Dr. Agha loves classical music and is passionate about gardening, traveling and watches tennis, cricket, golf and football with immense vigor.
