Dr. Jatin Patel is the founder of Arthritis & Rheumatology Center, P.C. He completed his medical school education from C.U. Shah Medical college in the western part of India. He then went on to complete his internal medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Patel is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
Dr. Patel was selected to the prestigious Drexel University/Hahnemann Hospital for his Rheumatology fellowship training. He spent his two years of fellowship training at Drexel gaining vast clinical experience in the field of Rheumatology. He was exposed to some great research work in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound leading to the publication and presentation in journals and meetings. He has Certification in Registered Musculoskeletal Sonography.
Dr. Patel is an active member of the following medical organizations:

- National Arthritis Foundation
- International Society for Clinical Densitometry
- American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine
Dr. Patel has published a few clinical research articles in national and international journals. He has also presented research at the American College of Physicians national meetings as well as at rheumatology research workshop meetings at the American College of Rheumatology. He has won the first grand prize in the American College of Rheumatology image competition held in Washington in 2012 defeating around 175 images from all over the world.
Dr. Patel loves treating all aspects of rheumatology. His special interests are Osteoarthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Scleroderma, Vasculitis, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Platelet Rich Plasma therapies.
Dr. Patel is passionate about his family and loves spending time with his wife and his parents. His family came along with him to Georgia and fell in love with the mesmerizing beauty of the state, southern charm and hospitality of the people of Georgia. He enjoys running, traveling and watching soccer.
